Chubu Electric Power Grid Dispatches Experts to Seminar in Egypt

In January 2018, Chubu Electric Power Grid sent two experts to a seminar on substation maintenance, which was held in Cairo, Egypt, where they delivered a talk to engineers from the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company. The three-day seminar was attended by 108 people who engaged in lively question-and-answer sessions as well as exchanges of views. The seminar was also attended by the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi who commented that he hoped Egypt would be able to learn more about Japan’s wonderful maintenance technologies. In the future as well, Chubu Electric Power Grid will leverage technologies which we have developed in our domestic operations to actively expand exchange, collaboration, and consulting services to resolve issues that other companies face in countries around the world.

Chubu Electric Power Grid Provides Training and Facility Tour to SP PowerGrid (Singapore)

In April 2019, Chubu Electric Power Grid welcomed 13 engineers from SP PowerGrid and conducted a workshop during which we showed the participants how the command operations sheet is used in substation operations and the roles that each person is responsible for during on-site work at substations. The workshop also covered how work is handed over between crews, hazard prediction activities, and other facets of operations. In addition, the engineers toured group affiliate TOENEC Corporation’s Safety Creation Center where they were able to gain a deeper understanding of efforts being made across the entire Chubu Electric Power Group to enhance safety awareness.
