How to Operate Circuit Breakers

If the service breaker (amperage breaker) has tripped, it is probably switched off because you have used too much electricity.

Push the service breaker to the “ON” position and the electricity will come on.

When the leak circuit breaker has tripped, there is a short-circuit somewhere.

Place the leak circuit breaker and all of the wiring circuit breakers in the “OFF” position.

Turn the leak circuit breaker on.

Turn each of the wiring circuit breakers on one at a time. Once the faulty circuit is turned on, the leak circuit breaker will trip.

Turn off all the wiring circuit breakers once again and turn on the leak circuit breaker.

Place all circuit breakers in the “ON” position except for the faulty one and the check is complete.

Short-circuits may also cause a fire, so please consult an electrician.
